Niese Down, Figgy Up
After the game Adam Rubin is reporting that the Mets have sent Jonathan Niese to triple-A Buffalo after his 5 run, 4 2/3 innings in today’s game. Rubin says that the Mets will replace Niese with Nelson Figueroa. Rubin also said that he would not be surprised if the Mets activate Tim Redding from the DL for Monday’s game.

Daily Scouting Report: Nelson Figueroa

Daily Scouting Report: Jonathan Niese
The Mets say that they are unsure if Pelfrey will be able to make his start on Sunday. Jerry Manual has said that it will most likely be Jonathan Niese but possibly Dillon Gee. It would be Niese on normal rest or Gee on short rest by 1 day.
Daily Scouting Report: Dillon Gee
I am going to start something called the Daily Scouting Report that I hope will get more viewers to come back each day. The report will usually be on a minor league player but may be on a opposing player or a opposing team. For the first one I would like to scout Dillon Gee, who is pitching today against the Marlins at 1 PM on PIX 11.
